2014 Tournament Scores - Scottsdale Open

The 2014 Scottsdale Open is in the record books and indeed, the third time was the charm for 3-year players Frank Harris and Ted Allwood, who won the Open Net division title this year. They began the final round two shots back and pulled away to win by six at the end of "count 'em all" Sunday.
In the Gross Division, Jason Melashenko and Brent Peeke, DDS's both, bettered their 2012 sixth place showing and claimed the title. Tournament veterans will recall that "Dr. J's" 2012 performance was hampered by the fact his appendix was removed The Day Before The Tournament! Apparently it's a bit easier to hit proper golf shots when you're not worrying about rupturing abdominal sutures.
Randy Dean and Guy Cooke, pals of the veteran Texas gang from Sweetwater Country Club, galloped in for the first time this year and rode off with the Senior Net Division title. Beginner's luck? Not likely, as they also had a two shot deficit to overcome counting them all Sunday afternoon at Grayhawk Raptor.
In the end, the 2014 Scottsdale Open was pure golf and pure Scottsdale, so everyone won.
