2016 Tournament Scores - Scottsdale Open

The 5th Annual Scottsdale Open is in the Books
The 2016 Scottsdale Open introduced its veteran teams and new players to two new venues this year, The Boulders South course, and the Cholla course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.
The fine weather and manicured course conditioning provided the opportunity to go low, and several sub-par rounds were posted by the field during the first two rounds of team best ball tournament play.
But as all Scottsdale Open players know, the final round "Count 'em All" Sunday loop at Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor course looms large, and generally determines who takes home the hardware.
Gross Division winners James Holmes, from Virginia's Dominion Club, and Andrew LeBorgne, from Arizona's own Legend at Arrowhead Club, established a one stroke lead Saturday, and pulled away from their pursuers to claim victory Sunday afternoon.
Senior Net Division champions Bryan Kiefer and Steve Short, playing out of Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club in Destin, Florida, grabbed the lead on Friday, added to their margin each day, and posted the lowest three-round tournament score in the entire tournament field. Well played, gentlemen.
For Net Division victors Ken and Travis Bleile, from Ohio's Eagle Creek Golf Club, their fourth year of competition at the Scottsdale Open turned out to be the charm. They hid in the middle of the field on Friday, emerged in third position Saturday, and played their way to a two-shot victory on Sunday,
In the end, everyone returned safely home a winner, beneficiaries of Scottsdale's sunny January weather, great championship golf courses, and the warm camaraderie shared by all the players at the 2016 Scottsdale Open. Play well at home this season, and we look forward to seeing you next January.
